We’re looking for a Marketing Manger to join our Marketing and Sales team based in our Support Office on Chester Street in Vancouver, BC. This role will report to the Director of Marketing. It will begin as soon as the right candidate is selected, for some overlap before the Director of Marketing goes on maternity leave. During the maternity leave, this role will report to the VP of Sales and Marketing.
Job Overview: Reporting to the VP of Sales & Marketing, this role is accountable for leading a team that drives brand engagement and familiarity in order to drive sales growth and new customer acquisition for Purdys Chocolatier. You will be responsible for using sales and marketing insights to discover untapped segments and opportunities for growth. You will manage developing innovative marketing campaigns and strategies and delivering the go-to-market strategy.
You will have the opportunity to:
Partner with our Digital & Direct team, Retail team, and Product & Insights team to draw marketing insights that drive sales and transactions to Purdys Chocolatier’s various sales channels.
Use a data-driven approach to plan, execute and optimize marketing campaigns across a variety of channels
Collaborate with cross channel to identify growth opportunities and develop recommendations to enhance the development and implementation of integrated marketing programs.
Manage the development and execution of social media content and community management. Acting as an internal Brand Champion for all creative assets, ensuring approved brand guidelines are maintained consistently across all store elements, advertising materials and partner promotional materials.
Manage agencies (as needed) to ensure flawless execution of programs and creative assets through strong project management, budgeting, creative briefing and score carding against established goals.
Conduct/Coordinate analytical support to improve ROI and program results and share results with internal stakeholders.
Contribute to the period budget planning process and ensure period consolidations remain on target throughout the fiscal year for all assigned budget lines; ensure financial auditing processes are adhered to by team.
You will be a good fit if you have:
An Undergraduate Degree in a Business-related Course. Marketing is preferred, MBA an asset.
6 - 8 years brand marketing experience, preferably at an organization within the Retail sector
In-depth knowledge and experience managing marketing strategies, deliveries and execution and are highly analytical with the ability to switch quickly between details and the "big picture".
The ability to foster relationships with the vendor community at the brand marketing level.
Ability to interact with and influence key stakeholders across all levels of management with excellent negotiation skills & strong project management skills.
