Full job description
We are seeking a skilled professional to join our high-volume clinic, with responsibilities including drawing 1-5 vials of blood from each patient. Proficiency in venipuncture is essential.

Location

Primary Location: 1919 Santa Monica Blvd.
Float Location: IM in Marina Del Rey

Shift

8 hours between 0740-1740

Required Qualifications

Medical Assistant Certificate/Diploma from a DAPIP-accredited program OR national certification through AAMA, AMCA, AMT, CCBMA, or MMCI.
Experience with medical insurance, referral processes, and benefit plans.
Ability to prepare patients for examination by performing preliminary physical tests, taking blood pressure, weight, and temperature, and reporting patient history summaries.
1 year of experience working as an MA in an outpatient clinic or medical office setting.
Proficiency with blood/lab draws and venipuncture.
Experience with CS-Link/Epic.
Preferred Qualifications

2 years of experience working as an MA in Internal Medicine/Family Practice.
Experience with Quest Diagnostic laboratory submissions.
Phlebotomy certification.
Understanding of medical terminology.
Job Duties

Greet patients, take appropriate vital signs, review current medications, and record in medical records.
Assist with tracking and monitoring department-specific data.
Explain policies, procedures, or services to patients based on scope of practice.
Set up exam/procedure rooms appropriate to the patient visit needs.
Clean and re-process equipment and supplies following department guidelines.
Administer immunizations, injections, or oral medications as directed by the provider.
Draw and prepare designated lab work or specimens as directed by the provider.

Pay: $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
