Shifts: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM CST or 11:00 AM – 8:00 PM CST
Rotating Saturdays and Sundays required

Position Summary
The Medical Assistant (MA) on the Clinical Navigation Team (CNT) plays a critical frontline role in supporting patient safety, access to care, and continuity of services within Televero Health’s integrated telebehavioral health model. This role focuses on timely engagement of acute and high-risk patients, coordination with providers and primary care offices, management of medication and laboratory requests, and direct patient communication. The CNT MA works collaboratively with registered nurses, providers, and administrative staff to ensure urgent clinical needs are addressed efficiently and in accordance with Televero Health protocols.
Roles and Responsibilities
1. Acute Patient Engagement and Risk Support
Assess and engage acute patients within one (1) hour of registration.
Assist with scheduling same-day or next-day appointments for acute patients.
Collaborate with the care team to support stabilization of patients with active suicidal or homicidal ideation (SI/HI), including coordination with emergency services as appropriate.
Ensure thorough and timely documentation of all assessments, communications, and interventions in the patient’s medical record.
Conduct proactive outreach and check-ins with established acute or high-risk patients as directed by the care team.
2. Communication With Primary Care and Referral Sources
Establish and maintain clear, two-way communication between Televero Health and referring primary care provider (PCP) offices.
Return all missed phone calls within the same business day.
Serve as a reliable point of contact to support coordinated care and timely information exchange.
3. Medication, Laboratory, and PAT Management
Assign Patient Action Tickets (PATs) to the appropriate provider within one (1) business day.
Escalate and communicate urgent PATs to the care team via Microsoft Teams.
Resolve and close CNT-assigned PATs (including medication and laboratory requests) within one (1) business day.
Proactively monitor laboratory orders and results, identifying and resolving delayed, missing, or incomplete labs.
Answer patient phone calls via RingCentral and route concerns appropriately.
4. Patient Interaction and Support
Conduct patient communication primarily via telephone, unless an alternative method is requested by the patient.
Accurately document all patient interactions, concerns, and resolutions in the medical record to support continuity of care.
Assist patients with:
Urgent appointment scheduling
Telehealth platform setup
Follow-up care coordination
Collect and document patient information accurately during phone calls or virtual interactions.
Provide patient education related to treatment plans and respond to basic medical questions within scope of practice.
5. Administrative and Care Coordination Duties
Coordinate with CoverMyMeds and insurance companies to support prior authorization processes.
Ensure compliance with Televero Health policies, clinical workflows, and applicable healthcare regulations.
Provide community resource information to clinicians and patients upon request.
Assist with:
Filing incoming faxes into appropriate patient charts
Sending outbound faxes on behalf of providers
Processing and sending medical record requests
Qualifications
Required
Certification or diploma from an accredited Medical Assistant program
Experience in a clinical, outpatient, or healthcare support role
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-based environment
Comfort with EHR systems, phone-based patient care, and virtual workflows
Preferred
Prior experience in behavioral health, psychiatry, or telehealth
Familiarity with medication refill workflows, laboratory coordination, or prior authorizations
Experience working with high-risk or acute patient populations
