About the Role
The MEP Lead plays a critical role in the successful execution of luxurious residential projects by leading the design and integration of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems. This position requires a blend of technical expertise, design leadership, and effective communication to ensure all systems are compliant with regulations while enhancing the overall architectural vision.
Responsibilities
• Design Leadership: Direct the development and design of MEP systems, ensuring alignment with project specifications and adherences to industry standards.
• Coordination: Facilitate seamless collaboration with architects, structural engineers, and other stakeholders to achieve a cohesive building design that harmonizes aesthetics with functional MEP systems.
• Technical Expertise: Offer specialized knowledge in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems to guide the project team and inform design decisions.
• Plan Review: Conduct thorough reviews and approvals of MEP drawings and specifications, ensuring all documentation is both accurate and compliant with relevant codes and regulations.
• Cost and Schedule Management: Oversee project budgets and schedules related to MEP design and implementation, monitoring financial performance while delivering on time.
• Problem Solving: Proactively identify potential design conflicts and compliance risks, resolving issues expeditiously to maintain project timelines and integrity.
• Team Leadership: Mentor and supervise junior engineers and drafters, fostering an environment of growth through technical guidance and effective delegation of tasks.
• Communication: Engage with clients, team members, and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle, conveying complex technical information in an accessible manner.
• BIM Implementation: Leverage Building Information Modeling (BIM) technologies to enhance design accuracy, coordination efforts, and overall project visualization.

Qualifications
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Plumbing Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience: Demonstrated extensive experience, 10+ Years in MEP systems design and project management, preferably within high-end residential or hospitality sectors.
Required Skills
• Software Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of BIM software (e.g., Revit, AutoCAD) and other design tools essential for effective coordination and clash detection.
• Technical Skills: Deep understanding of MEP systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection design principles.
• Leadership and Communication: Strong interpersonal skills, capable of leading teams and effectively communicating concepts to both technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
• Problem Solving Abilities: Skillful at identifying, analyzing, and resolving intricate technical challenges throughout the project lifecycle.
