Job Title: Merchant Operations Associate (Korean& English)
Position Type: Contract (3 months to start, with strong possibility of extension up to 24 months)
Location: Los Angeles, CA
Salary Rate: $30–$45/hr (USD)
Job Description:
The Merchant Operations Associate supports day-to-day ecommerce operations for local merchants on a leading social commerce platform across Beauty, Fashion, and Health categories. This is a hands-on, execution-focused role centered on merchandising accuracy, campaign readiness, SKU management, and operational quality. The role partners closely with internal stakeholders to ensure listings, pricing, inventory, and campaign participation meet platform standards.
Responsibilities:
• Support daily merchant operations across assigned sellers and categories
• Ensure product listings are accurate and complete, including titles, descriptions, pricing, and inventory levels
• Review and approve SKUs in accordance with platform rules and operational guidelines
• Identify and resolve listing errors, data inconsistencies, and setup issues with merchants or internal teams
• Ensure merchant products are properly included in campaigns and promotions (e.g., seasonal sales, major events)
• Validate campaign readiness, including stock availability and merchandising accuracy
• Track execution status and resolve issues impacting campaign performance
• Monitor inventory levels and flag stock risks for high-demand products
• Maintain and update operational trackers, reports, and spreadsheets using Excel or internal tools
• Follow SOPs and contribute to process improvement initiatives
Requirements:
• 1+ year of experience in ecommerce operations, marketplace support, merchandising, or digital retail operations
• Bachelor’s degree or higher
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ability to work with data systems (SQL knowledge is a plus)
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage execution-heavy workloads
• Ability to work onsite Monday through Friday in a fast-paced environment
• Experience supporting ecommerce platforms, marketplaces, or DTC brand websites preferred
• Experience with product catalogs, inventory management, or campaign execution preferred
• Experience working with Beauty, Fashion, or Health categories preferred
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills required, as the role involves coordinating with cross-functional teams and documenting operational processes
