Our client, a prominent player in the mining sector, is actively seeking an experienced and results-oriented Mine Operations Superintendent. This critical role is based at their active mine site in the **Pune, Maharashtra, IN** region, requiring a dedicated on-site presence to ensure the safe, efficient, and productive operation of the mine. As the Mine Operations Superintendent, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of daily mining activities, including extraction, processing, safety protocols, and personnel management. You will lead a large team of skilled miners, engineers, and support staff, ensuring adherence to stringent safety regulations and environmental standards. This position demands strong leadership capabilities, a deep understanding of mining engineering principles, and a proven track record in operational management within challenging environments. You will play a key role in optimizing production output, managing resources effectively, and fostering a culture of safety excellence. Key responsibilities include: managing day-to-day mining operations, including drilling, blasting, hauling, and processing; developing and implementing operational plans and schedules; ensuring strict compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations (e.g., MHA guidelines); supervising and mentoring mine personnel; monitoring equipment performance and maintenance; managing budgets and controlling operational costs; conducting regular safety audits and risk assessments; and collaborating with geologists, engineers, and other stakeholders to optimize mine performance. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering or a closely related field, with a Master's degree being an advantage. A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in mine operations, with at least 5 years in a supervisory or management role, is required. A valid Mine Manager's Certificate of Competency is essential. Proven experience in managing large-scale mining operations, strong leadership skills, and excellent problem-solving abilities are mandatory.
