Through integration and collaboration, we're building a health system underpinned by partnership, equity, sustainability, whanau-centred care, and excellence.About the RoleThis position exists to provide medical imaging services for Hauora Tairawhiti, providing excellent imaging to support diagnosis and treatment.About the Team/Service/LocationThe radiology team provides imaging in general X-Ray, Ultrasound, CT, MRI, Mammography, DEXA and Interventional Radiology.
We are a vibrant team dedicated to supporting our community and each other, working together to make a positive impact every day.
We also provide an after-hours on-call service for CT, MRI, Ultrasound and General X-Ray.Ideal Candidate Experience and Professional CompetenciesQualified Medical Radiation TechnologistRegistered with NZMRTBCurrent Annual Practising CertificateSound oral and written communication skillsGood knowledge of cross-sectional imagingA high level of time management and personal work organisation skillsCT knowledge would be an advantageCompetency with te ao Maori, tikanga, and te reo Maori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growthExperience in projects/initiatives which give effect to Te Tiriti principles and frameworks, and the application of Matauranga Maori and Kaupapa Maori approaches, particularly as they apply in healthcare settings.Working for Health New ZealandHealth New Zealand Te Whatu Ora is 'the weaving of wellness'.
