Location – Parramatta
Employment type – Temporary Full-Time, 35 hours per week
Grade – Clerk Grade 7/8
Salary – $113,574 pa - $125,720 pa plus employers’ contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading
Your role
Make a meaningful impact supporting communities affected by the Bondi NSW Terrorist Attack (14 December 2025).
As the Community Resilience & Engagement Coordinator, you will lead recovery and resilience initiatives, working alongside the community to identify needs, connect people with accurate information and resources, and strengthen local capacity. This is a purpose-driven role for a proactive professional committed to building strong, resilient communities.
What you’ll do
Join the Community Resilience unit within the Community and Policy division at Multicultural NSW and help strengthen communities in times of need. In this community-focused role, you will work alongside local organisations and stakeholders to support recovery, foster social cohesion and build long-term resilience across NSW.
Identify community strengths, needs and resilience capacity
Partner with community organisations and stakeholders to deliver community-led initiatives
Establish and support local Community Resilience Networks
Contribute to recovery and resilience strategies and action plans
Share accurate information and connect communities with support services
Collaborate with recovery workers, agencies and community leaders
Build community capability to strengthen future resilience
What we’re looking for
We’re seeking a capable, community-focused professional who thrives in dynamic environments and builds strong partnerships to deliver meaningful outcomes.
Qualifications in social work, social sciences, community development or welfare, with 2+ years’ experience
Knowledge of Multicultural NSW’s legislative framework and priorities
Proven ability to manage competing deadlines and diverse stakeholders
Current NSW driver licence
Flexibility to travel and work outside standard hours as required
