The Opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity for a New Business Administrator to join our friendly and supportive team at HPJV Solicitors in Newport.
This role is perfect for individuals passionate about providing excellent support and client care and eager to advance their careers in a reputable legal firm.
Your Role and Responsibilities
As a New Business Administrator, you will often be the first point of contact for new clients, helping to ensure they receive a warm, professional and efficient introduction to the firm.
Key responsibilities include:
Responding promptly to new enquiries by telephone, email, portals and in person
Following up and progressing new enquiries in line with service standards
Liaising with clients to obtain required information and documentation
Carrying out conflict checks
Opening new matters on the Case Management System
Managing client correspondence and diary entries
Providing reception cover where required
General administrative duties including, post and scanning.
Essential Skills and Experience
Minimum of one year of customer services, administration or secretarial experience, within the legal sector.
A friendly, professional telephone manner
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively to meet deadlines.
Strong attention to detail.
The ability to work well in a team with a flexible and collaborative approach.
The motivation to learn and show initiative, eager to develop new skills and improve processes.
Proficiency in IT skills, including Microsoft Office packages and Case Management Systems.
Strong customer service skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and colleagues
A proactive and adaptable attitude, ready to take on additional tasks as needed.
