Job Title: Registered Nurse – NICU (Level III)
Location: Los Angeles, CA
Job Type: Travel Contract
Contract Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: 12-hour Nights
Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced NICU Registered Nurse for a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit in Los Angeles, CA. This role is ideal for a nurse with strong NICU experience who is passionate about caring for premature and critically ill newborns.

Unit & Facility Details

Unit: Level III NICU
Beds: 26
Nurse-to-Patient Ratios: 1:1 or 1:2
Charting System: Cerner
Support: Charge nurse (free of patient assignments), RT in unit 24/7, Neonatologist in-house 24/7
Equipment: Oscillators, nasal CPAP, rare vents, nitrous oxide (handled by core staff), Giraffe bassinets
Common Patient Population

Premature infants
Sepsis
Post-surgical (gastroschisis, EA/TEF repairs, etc.)
Respiratory support (CPAP, oscillators, occasional ventilation)
Responsibilities

Provide specialized care to critically ill and premature infants
Administer and titrate critical drips including dopamine, dobutamine, fentanyl, and versed
Monitor and interpret patient data in an open-bay monitored environment
Collaborate with neonatologists, respiratory therapists, and interdisciplinary care teams
Educate and support families through the NICU journey
Schedule & Requirements

Start Date: October 6, 2025
Shift: Nights, 12 hours (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
Required Qualifications

Active California RN License
Minimum 3 years of NICU experience in a Level III or higher unit
Certifications: BLS, NRP, PALS
Strong knowledge of NICU protocols, titratable drips, and neonatal emergency care
Prior travel nursing experience preferred
