Job Description
Specifically, we're looking for someone who:
✅ Has owned or approved AFEs — and knows the gap between what gets budgeted and what actually gets spent
✅ Started in the field and moved into operations, engineering, or finance — you understand both sides of the data
✅ Has wrestled with cost variance in real time: when a well runs over, you've had to explain why and decide what to do next
✅ Sees where AI and better financial modeling could have saved time, money, or arguments
✅ Bonus: Has old well data (even anonymized) you'd be willing to work through with us
This is a flexible, paid hourly engagement — no full-time commitment, no career disruption. You keep your current role and advise on the side. We're building the tool you probably wished existed when you were managing active programs, and we want someone who can tell us where we're right, where we're wrong, and what we're missing.
If you've got the field calluses and the budget scars to prove it — I'd love to connect.
