Job Description
The successful candidate will work in the Tax Reporting team, which works closely with Investment Management and other stakeholder departments across the business to deliver a high quality tax reporting service. The Tax Reporting team are responsible for: Capital Gains Tax reporting, maintenance of client tax data in CGiX, acting as the point of contact for CGT related queries. This role can be based in Glasgow or Liverpool.
Key Responsibilities
• Assist in all aspects of Capital Gains Tax administration, from service set-up through to investor reporting production.
• Act as a contact point for queries raised across the business for CGT related queries related to internal custody or through our custodian Pershing Securities and SEI.
• Maintain MI relating to Tax Reporting functions, highlighting issues to the Tax Reporting Manager upon exposure.
• Identify and implement process improvements, and contribute to ad-hoc projects, as required.
• Strict adherence to internal company policies and compliance procedures.
• Undertaking training and competence reviews as required by the business.
Qualifications
Key Skills and Experience
• Previous experience of working in financial services/Investment Operations is desirable but not essential
• Good analytical skills: proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
• Excellent attention to detail
• Strong inter-personal and problem solving skills
• Comfortable working in a team as well as independently
• Highly organised and be able to multi-task effectively
• Adaptable to changes in process and the use of new systems
• Holding, or willing to study towards, the CISI ‘Investment Operations Certificate (IOC)’ is desirable
