Job location: National Office - Negotiable throughout New Zealand

Hours: Permanent, full-time (40 hours per week)

Job specific information
We have an exciting opportunity available for an experienced and values-driven Operations Manager to provide national operational leadership across CCS Disability Action’s Service Entity.
This is a senior executive role responsible for ensuring the effective, consistent, and high-quality delivery of services across Aotearoa. Sitting on the Executive Leadership Team and reporting to the Chief Executive, the Operations Manager plays a critical role in translating organisational strategy into coordinated, high-performing operational delivery.

In this role you will:

Lead national service delivery, ensuring consistency, quality, and accountability across all regions

Provide leadership, oversight and support to General Managers and national operational functions

Lead the Operational Leadership Team, creating alignment across services and regions

Drive strong operational performance, risk management, and continuous improvement

Act as a key escalation and problem-solving point for complex operational issues

You will play a central role in strengthening operational systems and performance, enabling CCS Disability Action to deliver services that are responsive, sustainable, and aligned with our values and strategic priorities.

Our organisation takes a social, rather than medical approach, supporting disabled people to live their best lives. We are guided by the Enabling Good Lives principles, shifting power and authority back to disabled people and their families, to increase choice and control in their lives.

About you
You are a senior operational leader who thrives in complex environments and is confident leading indirectly through influence, coaching and accountability.
You will bring:

Significant senior leadership experience in a complex organisation

Proven experience leading national or multi-site operations, ideally in the not-for-profit or public sector

Strong understanding of the disability sector and Enabling Good Lives

Well-developed people leadership skills, including coaching, performance and accountability at senior levels

Ability to translate strategy into practical, consistent operational delivery

Strong alignment with CCS Disability Action’s values, including a commitment to inclusion and Te Tiriti o Waitangi

We offer a supportive and caring work environment and truly value an environment where you can be your whole self. Te Aronui, our Strategic Priorities, reflect who we are and how we work. We value relationships, wellbeing and knowledge, all while keeping whānau hauā (disabled people) at the heart of everything we do.

Why us?
At CCS Disability Action, we foster a supportive and inclusive workplace guided by the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, Te Tiriti o Waitangi, and the New Zealand Disability Strategy. We uphold a strong human rights framework and promote equal opportunities for all.

Our strategic priorities, Te Aronui, shape how we work – valuing relationships, wellbeing, and knowledge while keeping whānau hauā/disabled people at the heart of everything we do. We celebrate diversity and offer flexible work arrangements to support work-life balance. Join our friendly, values-driven team and make a meaningful impact every day.

With a strong employee value proposition, we offer great employee benefits, job-related training, and clear career growth pathways. Whether you’re with us short-term or long-term, we provide the tools and opportunities for success. Our employee benefits programme includes:

Exclusive discounts

Free access to the Employee Assistance Programme (EAP)

A paid annual wellbeing day.
