Team Global Express NZ delivers freight forwarding, end-to-end transport services, and comprehensive logistics solutions to customers operating in New Zealand scaling from Kaitaia to Invercargill.
We have an exciting opportunity for an AM Operations Supervisor to join our Auckland Parcels team.
Days and shift: Monday – Friday (rostered Saturdays), 3am – 11.30am
About the role - Mō te tūranga
You will be responsible for the day-to-day supervision and direction of freight handling, staff training and related activities to provide quality service to internal and external customers.
Additionally, you will:
Mentor, train, and develop the team
Own the takeover and handover of shifts.
Daily team huddle process, leading to our perfect transaction targets.
Effective communication with internal and external customers
Efficient use and allocation of fleet
Fleet, driver, and dispatch management.
Administration, monitoring, and Key Performance Indicator (KPI) reporting
Assist with continuous improvement of KPIs.
Ensure compliance with all health and safety requirements.
Covering shifts when required
What will you bring? – Ōu Pūkenga?
To succeed in this role, you will be able to communicate effectively and maintain good working relationships.
Additionally, you will need:
NZ Full Class 1 Drivers License (clean) – must have
Have a minimum of 3+ years' experience in the transport/logistics industry.
Understanding of operational costing
Proven ability in leading Health and Safety
Forklift license.
Knowledge of Dangerous Goods practice and procedure.
Knowledge of relevant legislation, codes of practice and Transport law
Geographical Knowledge of the North Island.
Good understanding of IT systems, & MS Office suite (Power BI is a bonus).
