Job description
Experienced transactional real estate attorney to support drafting, reviewing, and negotiating construction, commercial, and lease-related documents in support of the company’s retail and office footprint. The role handles a high volume of complex matters, manages insurance claim reviews, and provides strategic legal advice on real estate and construction issues. The position requires strong commercial judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and with internal stakeholders.
Responsibilities
• Draft, review, and negotiate construction agreements (contractor, architect, consulting, services agreements, including AIA documents)
• Draft, review, and negotiate facilities service agreements and other commercial contracts
• Review and negotiate SNDAs and estoppel certificates
• Maintain and review insurance claims with paralegal support
• Draft, review, and negotiate office leases, licenses, pop-up and event location agreements, and retail lease–related documents (subleases, assignments, amendments, renewals, surrenders, releases, access and termination agreements)
Requirements
• J.D. and admitted to practice in New York State in good standing
• 4+ years of transactional real estate legal experience in a law firm or combination of law firm and in-house roles
• Ability to manage a high volume of projects and deadlines independently
• Excellent business judgment, strong attention to detail, and ability to analyze and draft real estate legal issues (including with AI assistance)
• Knowledge of commercial real estate law, insurance, indemnification, and risk management
• Strong interpersonal and client relations skills; able to work independently and as part of a team

Position Summary:
Full-time, on-site Paralegal / Case Manager. You’ll own matters from intake through completion, keep records clean, and ensure deadlines and workflow don’t slip. You’ll work closely with attorneys and become a key operator in our collections and enforcement process.
