Paralegal/Legal Assistant
Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Paralegal/Legal Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will specialize in Medicaid and estate planning who can assist our legal team in various tasks, including document preparation, interviewing clients, and providing administrative support.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct document review and analysis as part of Medicaid applications for clients
- Assist in interviewing clients to gather relevant information
- Provide clerical support such as filing and data entry
- Assist with estate planning tasks under the supervision of attorneys
- Help prepare legal documents related to contracts and agreements
- Support attorneys in preparing and managing case files
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information at all times
- Answer phones professionally and handle inquiries with proper phone etiquette
Experience:
- Previous experience with Medicaid and estate planning is preferred
- Familiarity with legal terminology and procedures is a plus
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are essential
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
