Our client a Private Equity backed international Logistics business are seeking a Part Qualified Accountant to join their team in London. Working 3 days a week in the office the Part Qualified Accountant will be responsible for assisting with the preparation of monthly management accounts for Group companies. The successful candidate will work closely with the Group Financial Accountant, and work collaboratively across Group Finance, other internal Group teams, and occasionally with external stakeholders.
Responsibilities
Manage the accounts payable process for Group companies include invoice processing, payment runs & bank reconciliations
Preparation of weekly cash forecast for Group companies
Liaise with internal stakeholders and occasionally external suppliers to ensure invoices are recorded accurately and paid on time
Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts for Group companies, including preparing & posting journals, system reconciliations, analytical review
Prepare balance sheet reconciliations for Group companies
Preparation of quarterly VAT information for submission to UK company
Undertake process improvement work with guidance from Group Financial Accountant
Other adhoc tasks as required including assistance with monthly board pack, query resolution, audit prep
Key Skills & Qualifications
Part qualified ACCA / CIMA / ACA / early to mid stage studier
Experience in a similar role within a fast moving environment, covering accounts payable and ideally also some experience of management accounts preparation / month end processes
Strong financial acumen, with expert understanding of financial principles, accounting and financial statements.
Excel – mid-level proficiency is desirable up to vlookup, pivot tables
3 days a week in office
