What will you be responsible for?
This role sits as part of our Finance team and reports to our Financial Controller.
Your key activities in this role will be, but not limited to:-
Process regular payroll cycles, ensuring accurate computation of base salaries, leave payments, overtime, bonuses, commission, and deductions for Australia & New Zealand entities
Manage PAYG payments and prepare payroll-related reports for submission to the ATO
Calculate and process superannuation contributions in accordance with regulatory requirements, reconcile contribution discrepancies and liaise with superannuation funds when required
Process fortnightly employee reimbursements
Calculation of sales commissions
Lodge payroll tax returns ensuring timely and accurate submissions and payments
Prepare and maintain detailed payroll expense and leave accrual worksheets and journals
Maintain accurate payroll related general ledger accounts and perform regular reconciliation of those accounts
Manage workers compensation insurance policies application and renewals, annual wages reconciliation and declaration
Work closely with HR, Finance, and other departments to resolve payroll discrepancies and respond to employee inquiries.

We’re on the hunt for an individual with a natural flair for collaboration and communication, passionate and resilient and who brings a positive attitude to work each day. Your commitment to accuracy, attention to detail and getting it right will be appreciated and impress us!
Tertiary education in Accounting
Membership of a recognized professional accounting body (CA or CPA Australia) is preferred
Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in a similar payroll role
Able to meet deadlines whilst maintaining a high level of accuracy
Ability to work independently and as part of a team with an enthusiastic attitude
Confident and professional communication skills, both written and verbal
Technology experience with MicrOPay, Xero, FinancialForce and Salesforce is preferred
Resilience and high energy to manage in a high-volume and fast-paced environment
