Position Summary
Goldstar Services Group is seeking a Human Resources Coordinator, People Operations to lead and strengthen the full employee lifecycle across our Residential Cleaning, Commercial Janitorial, and Projects/Industrial divisions. This role is responsible for building scalable people systems that support growth, operational excellence, and strong employee experiences.
Key Responsibilities
· Lead workforce planning and staffing forecasts with operational leaders.
· Own recruitment strategy, job postings, candidate pipelines, interviews, and hiring processes.
· Oversee onboarding, orientation, employee files, and documentation compliance.
· Build and maintain training systems, checklists, and role readiness standards.
· Partner with supervisors on coaching, accountability, performance management, and employee relations.
· Support compensation reviews, wage banding, incentives, and retention initiatives.
· Develop internal growth pathways for Trainers, Team Leads, Supervisors, and future managers.
· Oversee health & safety administration, incident reporting, WCB / WorkSafeBC coordination, and return-to-work planning.
· Create HR dashboards and report on turnover, retention, hiring speed, training compliance, and staffing gaps.
· Continuously improve systems, processes, communication, and people infrastructure.
Qualifications
· 3+ years of progressive HR, recruitment, people operations, or management experience.
· Formal training or certification in Human Resources is considered an asset.
· Strong experience in hands-on recruitment and employee lifecycle management.
· Knowledge of BC employment standards, HR best practices, and confidentiality requirements.
· Experience supporting field-based, trades, hospitality, service, or industrial workforces is an asset.
· Strong communication, documentation, organization, and leadership skills.
· Comfort working in-office in Fernie and operating independently.
Pay: $30.00-$35.00 per hour
