About the role

Reporting to the People & Culture Manager, the P&C Business Partner plays a key role in supporting our employees and managers across the Westbow Group of Companies. You will work closely with our construction, development and real estate group, providing HR solutions and recommendations that align with our business goals. Your expertise in employee relations, performance management, workplace health and safety, and HR best practices will contribute to fostering a positive high-performing work environment.

Annual Salary Range: $65,000-$80,0000

What you’ll be doing

Strategic Partnership: Partnering with managers and business partners to improve people-related priorities that aligns with organizational goals. Assist leaders with strategic planning and forecasting needs regarding people and culture.
Employee Relations & Performance Management: Provide guidance and recommendations regarding employee relations, performance management, and work force management.
Policy Development & Implementation: Assist in developing and implementing HR policies and procedures that align with company values and industry best practices.
Workplace Health & Safety: Facilitate workplace health and safety policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with regulations and promoting a culture of safety. Work closely with site teams to ensure employees understand and adhere to safety protocols and procedures. Assist with incident reporting, workplace investigations, and return-to-work programs.
Data Management: Maintain HR records, ensuring data accuracy and compliance with employment regulations.
Learning & Development: Support learning and development initiatives including career development planning.
Recruitment: Supporting the recruitment process by assisting managers in recruitment recommendations.
Employee Engagement & Culture: Facilitate and support people and culture events and activities.

What we’re looking for

2+ years of experience in an HR Generalist, HR Business Partner or related role.
Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or related field.
Strong knowledge of HR best practices, employment law and workplace health and safety regulations.
Experience in the construction, real estate, development or related industry is an asset.
CHPR designation is an asset.
Ability to handle confidential employee matters.
Proficient in Microsoft Office 365.
