Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physician Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in various settings, including hospitals, outpatient clinics, and urgent care facilities. This role requires a strong foundation in clinical knowledge and the ability to work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Duties
Conduct comprehensive physical examinations and patient assessments to determine health status.
Perform diagnostic evaluations and develop treatment plans based on clinical findings.
Administer medications, including injections, and manage acute pain effectively.
Provide care in various specialties such as emergency medicine, internal medicine, pediatrics, and geriatrics.
Utilize electronic medical records (EMR) systems like Epic or Cerner for accurate documentation of patient information.
Participate in triage and manage patients in critical care settings, including ICU and Level I/II trauma centers.
Engage in clinical research and trials to contribute to advancements in medical practices.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for discharge planning and continuity of care.
Educate patients on health management, nutrition, and preventive care strategies.
Skills
Proficient in using EMR systems and medical coding (ICD-9, ICD-10, CPT coding).
Experience with critical care procedures such as airway management, ventilator support, and cardiac catheterization.
Knowledgeable in infection control practices and aseptic techniques.
Strong skills in suturing, phlebotomy, IV infusion, and tube feeding.
Familiarity with hospice & palliative medicine principles and geriatric care.
Ability to perform physical examinations and vital sign assessments accurately.
Excellent communication skills for effective patient interaction and education.
Competence in managing diverse patient populations including those requiring urgent care or specialized treatments like botulinum toxin injections or dermal fillers.
