Job Description
• Translate the project scope of work into activities and prepare a masterproject plan
• Project Planners create plans that identify site organization structure,team members, deliverables, time lines, strategies and objectives.
• By developing and updating (baseline programs) the project plans,project planners to promote consistency across the entire project and maintainconstant communication with team members regarding status (delays and catch-upplans), delivery dates and potential risks.
• Understand work scope, quantity, time duration, resource requirementsand familiar with logical sequences (WBS) in terms of engineering,manufacturing and construction disciplines.
• Identify the critical path of the project and track the tasks. Conduct field scoping to clarify scope as required.
• Work with management and project team in the development of work breakdown structure for progress measurement, scheduling, cost estimating (includingcost to complete) and project control.
• Understands the lead time for the supply items and gathers informationon lead times of each operationPrepare and manage overall master schedule integrating work breakdownstructure using scheduling software.
• Understand contractual information, earn value method, familiar withscope management and change control.
• Coordinate schedule frommultiple contractors and incorporate the information gathered into the overallproject master
• Work closely on a day-to-day basis with the Planners and Design team ofthe Construction Contractor to monitor and/or amend the Contractor's BaselineProgramme Work
• Conduct independent site visits to evaluate the contractor's siteprogress against his programme and report
• Generate reports – package wise – and assist the package manager ondaily / weekly basis to track "activities to start" and 'percentage completion"of the tasks
• Assist in preparing the work program and cash flow forecasts
• Prepare cost estimation and schedule bar chart plan considering all inputs (manpower, equipment and materials) availability, production andconstruction sequences.
• Develop work method of statement or procedure as required to comply withthe WBS.
• Understand and able to utilize planning tools such as MS Excel, MS Projectand SAP.
• Develop and update resource (manpower and equipment) histogram weekly ormonthly as required.
• Evaluate allocation of resources and provide recommendations to maintainrequired progress.
• Develop and implement plan versus actual progress charts (histograms/Scurves). Reports and analyses deviations from plan.
• Track, monitor and forecast progress of all activities and deliverablesuch as capital goods, engineering documents, fabrication status, inspectionstatus and construction of all packages.
• Analyze gaps between the planned and actual progress and highlight theareas of concern which required action of the respective package team leader /member.
• Perform probabilistic analysis / scenario analysis of completion datesand potential alternatives. Present risk-based analysis of likelycompletion and expected deviation range.
• Where necessary support the project team with review and analysis of theprogrammes to assist with resolution of claims and change orders
• Adopt innovative methodsfor display of Plans / schedules and tracking through visual displays / mailcommunication / dash board system
