The Plant Accountant plays a key role as onsite Financial and Accounting Business Partner for our India facilities/locations and closely partnering with Plant Manager for key decision makings by providing prompt meaningful analysis.
The Plant Accountant will also closely monitor and control day-to-day operations, month-end closing process by analyzing and providing such action plans to support business especially with Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) & Operation teams.
Moreover, the Plant Accountant will manage and prepare key financial reports such as MFG Analysis & Yield data while ensuring control in place; by enforce the procedure to safeguard of company assets.
Core Responsibilities:
• Monitor and control on Day-to-Day operation, & Month-end closing process by analyzing and providing such action plan to support business especially FP&A & Operation team.
• Prepare key financial reports such as MFG Analysis, Yield, Utilities and Saving report.
• Monitor MFG area, such as BOM consumption, Yield, Expenses to provide support information to Cost Controller and Plant Management and be responsible for preparing, analyzing, and reporting monthly and annual financials to Facility, Division and Corporate management.
• Lead the Plant LE Forecast & Goal process.
• Monitor account reconciliation such as Accrue expenses, Advance & Prepaid expenses, GST, and Withholding Tax.
• Ensure total Ingredion India actual cost (COS) accurate and timely record.
• Review, challenge, monitor, and support all inventory and inventory control functions. Support fixed assets tagging and physical count. Coordinate for annual physical stock counting between Logistics, Production and Accounting. Maintain Fixed asset Register and arrange audits.
• Improve internal control and follow up action plan such as cycle count, scrap sale, fixed assets control, production report, and petty cash.
• Manage both internal and external audits performed at the facility.
• Assist and challenge teams with compiling cost improvements, team goals, and monthly forecasts.
• Share and build team knowledge along with supervising accounting staff.
• Close Co-ordination with Head office in Mumbai, India and Shared service centre in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Qualified candidates will have:
• Certified Chartered Accountant/Cost Accountant
• Minimum 3 years' managerial level experience in Plant Cost Accounting with manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of taxation laws GST/Customs/Income tax is a must.
• Fluent in written and spoken English and having knowledge of local language (Gujarati) is desirable.
• Strong in analytical and accounting skills, interpersonal skill and time management.
• Strong leadership ability, excellent communication, organization, prioritization and attention to details.
• Strong technology skills in Microsoft Office applications and ERP systems, and in-depth knowledge of US GAAP specific to position.
• Knowledge of SAP is desirable
• Background in lean manufacturing/six sigma a plus.
• Comfortable to engage with teams in different time zones.
