Growing manufacturer located in the Greater Delaware area seeks a Plant Accountant with proven SAP expertise. This candidate will be responsible for all accounting transactions within the plant including assisting with month end close activities, financial reporting, maintaining cost control, preparing complex budgets, analyzing expenditures, and tracking and reporting on compliance/internal controls. The ideal Plant Accountant for this role should have great problem-solving skills, excellent time-management and strong budgeting/forecasting abilities that will ensure revenue generation.
Everyday Responsibilities
• Support daily accounting functions
• Month End/Year End Close
• Oversee cost control
• Maintain general ledger
• Inspect account books for efficiency and accuracy
• Journal Entries
• Budget Preparation
• Process Improvement
• Inventory Control
• Ad hoc financial analysis projects as requested
The ideal Plant Accountant will have a Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance.
Other requirements for the Plant Accountant role include and are not limited to:
• 2+ years of accounting experience
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel
• SAP experience
• Manufacturing industry experience a PLUS
