Your role at Clorox:
The Plant Controller for our Brita manufacturing facility in Brampton will be responsible for all accounting month end tasks, financial reporting, the annual
budget process, standard costing and quarterly forecasting. They will also
provide operational support to the plant with supervision over plant purchases
and scheduling. They will also act as a financial support across departments in
the plant and be the lead on any cost saving initiatives. They will also be a
member of the plant leadership team and a liaison to the business team at the
corporate office.
In this role, you will:

Function as a business partner with the Plant Manager to build effective financial business cases.
Oversee overall plant financial and accounting operations.
Manage the operational financial reporting and analysis.
Oversee Plant’s accounts payable, including review and approve Purchase Requisitions and invoices in VIM and Coupa.
Manage month-end process, from journal entry preparation, accruals, update the Plant Overhead spending statement.
Prepare monthly account reconciliations in accordance to the Accounting Policy.
Prepare the creation of Asset shell in SAP based on Asset Tracking Sheet from the project manager. Track/manage the Assets Under Construction (AUC) to ensure the project will close timely.
Provide support to the Canada Head Office for annual Insurance Underwriting and annual tax return.
Liaise with the Corporate Finance for the annual external financial statement Audit.
Maintain balance sheet integrity, regulatory compliance, and a strong control environment in the plant.
Develop and analyze the annual budgeting and monthly forecast in Anaplan.
Review and analyze the actual financial results in Anaplan and S/4 Hana on monthly basis.
Maintain and update Annual Incentive Program calculation for the Plant on quarterly/yearly basis.
Maintain and update Business Continuity Plan for the Plant based on the leadership team input.
Maintain Plant Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): Plant COGS, Cost savings, Planned vs Actual, Productivity, Crewing.

What we look for:

Highly organized with excellent time management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Strong oral, presentation & written communication skills.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Proven leadership and collaboration skills.
Strong financial analytical capabilities and forecast experience.
Bachelor degree in Finance/Accounting. CPA designation or equivalent designation.
Strong cost accounting background. Solid understanding of other functional areas (sales, marketing, product supply)
Preferably CPG and manufacturing industry background, 5+ years experience.
Solid understanding and working knowledge of ERP systems (SAP S4) is a strong asset.
