The ICT Services Division delivers secure and modern technology solutions that enable the department to operate effectively around the clock. We manage ICT systems that support collaboration, innovation, and service delivery across all areas. We manage the department’s hardware and cloud infrastructure, supporting core business functions including science and specialised activities. Our team ensures robust connectivity across all sites and governs the use of cloud platforms to enable secure, scalable operations. We facilitate ICT change and release management, helping the department stay agile and responsive. By delivering reliable infrastructure, we empower staff to work efficiently and innovate with confidence.
As a Project Support Officer, you will support the functions of the Platform Services Team, with a core focus on providing BAU and Project Support. You will provide support to internal and external stakeholders and contribute to ensuring the Platform Services team governance and delivery is successfully managed.

APS 5 Platforms Support Officer role is focused on supporting Project Managers and EL1 team members through competent processing, reporting, clarity of information, and contributing effectively to team outcomes. This role contributes to the support and delivery of applications hosted on the departments cloud application storage Azure PlatformOne.
Key duties for this position include, but are not limited to:
maintaining accurate project and BAU documentation and artefacts
supporting administrative requirements for a large contractor cohort, including timesheet tracking and leave management
assisting with consistent and accurate budgeting and forecasting for project activities
supporting reporting requirements and artefact management and resource planning
building strong internal and external stakeholder relationships across a multi-vendor environment by providing high quality information, communication and updates to stakeholders
coordinating project, support agenda preparation and minutes and follow up on action items
other operational administrative ad-hoc duties as required.
Please note that the merit pool established through this selection process, which is valid for a period of eighteen months from the date the vacancy was advertised in the Public Service Gazette, may also be used to fill future ongoing vacancies in the branch where the duties are of a similar nature.

demonstrated organisational skills including management of competing priorities and personal initiative
proven stakeholder management and experience in building relationships while working with a variety of ICT stakeholders and suppliers
strong analytical skills and be able to problem solve day to day issues and communicate effective in both written and oral communication
previous experience working in a similar role would be an advantage.

demonstrated experience in a service centred role with a strong focus on customer service and stakeholder management
ability to gain an understanding of departmental systems and corporate governance processes and procedures quickly and efficiently.
