Job description
We are looking for an experienced PL/SQL Developer with 5+ years of hands-on experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in writing and optimizing PL/SQL code, working with Oracle databases, and building robust, scalable database solutions. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining complex database procedures, triggers, functions, and packages to meet the business needs.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, and implement efficient PL/SQL packages, procedures, functions, and triggers in Oracle databases.
• Write and optimize complex SQL queries to support application functionalities.
• Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve database performance issues.
• Collaborate with application developers, business analysts, and project teams to gather requirements and provide database-related solutions.
• Maintain data integrity and security by implementing database-level controls and auditing mechanisms.
• Perform database tuning and optimization to improve query performance.
• Develop and maintain database scripts, schemas, and tables as per project requirements.
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for developed PL/SQL programs.
• Test and debug PL/SQL code to ensure smooth execution in production environments.
• Support existing applications by identifying and resolving PL/SQL-related issues and bugs.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in PL/SQL development and Oracle databases.
• Strong proficiency in writing complex PL/SQL code including procedures, functions, triggers, and packages.
• In-depth understanding of SQL and relational database concepts, especially Oracle.
• Experience with performance tuning of PL/SQL code and query optimization.
• Familiarity with database design concepts such as normalization, indexing, and partitioning.
• Experience with Oracle tools like SQLPlus, Oracle SQL Developer, and TOAD.
• Ability to write efficient queries to handle large volumes of data.
• Solid understanding of exception handling, error logging, and debugging in PL/SQL.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of version control tools such as Git or SVN is a plus.
• Familiarity with Agile or Scrum methodologies is preferred.
