Job Advert Description
ROLE OVERVIEW:

We are pleased to be recruiting a Policy Officer role in the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner (OPCC) to provide temporary maternity cover for one year.

You will do this by working closely with Gwent Police colleagues and wider partners in other police forces, justice agencies, local authorities, commissioned services, and local, Welsh and UK governments.

The policy areas that this post covers includes violence against women and girls, domestic abuse and ****** violence (VAWDASV), safeguarding and vulnerability-based crime, and how best to support relevant victims and reduce offending. However, there is room to carry out work in other policy areas.

We welcome applicants looking for a fixed-term contract or secondment (with current employer permission). For more information, please contact the OPCC Head of Strategy, Sam Slater at [email protected]
