About the role
Join a collaborative and supportive team as a Pool Maintenance Officer to ensure the upkeep of one of the best pools in Australia. If you can confidently communicate with guests and colleagues, have experience in the maintenance and upkeep of commercial pools, including plant rooms, water features, equipment maintenance, and pool cleaning, and are able and willing to obtain a scuba diving license, we would love to have you onboard. Training is provided on the job.
Critical responsibilities:
Sweep, vacuum, maintain pools and decorative fountains.
Aquarium / lagoon maintenance, caring of fish (all training provided)
Clean pump strainers, sand filters, change cartridge filters, clean cartridge filters, dump and fresh fill Jacuzzis and hot tubs as required.
chemical handling and water treatment.
Mix chemicals, top off chemical mix tanks, know and wear all personal protective equipment. Read and interpret Material Data Safety Sheets.
Assist in maintaining all water features on property.
Assist in conducting water chemical and water meter readings and make entries into logs as necessary.
Ensuring pool and lagoon water chemistry is in compliance with regulations
Adhere to safe work practices, instructions and procedures.
Proactively identify property maintenance issues within the hotel and to resolve with a "hands on" attitude.
Manual handling up to 25 kg salt bags

Pay: $26.70 – $46.73 per hour
