Power BI Specialist - Level 3 (L3)
We are seeking an experienced Power BI Specialist to lead advanced business intelligence initiatives, design and optimize data solutions, and provide actionable insights to key stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Development & Implementation
• Design, develop, and implement complex Power BI reports, dashboards, and data visualizations to meet business needs.
• Optimize and troubleshoot Power BI performance, including data model tuning and query optimization.
• Build and maintain advanced DAX formulas for custom calculations and measures.
• Integrate Power BI with other tools and platforms, such as Azure, SQL Server, or Python.
Data Management & Analysis
• Manage and transform large datasets for reporting and analytics, ensuring data quality and accuracy.
• Develop data pipelines and connections between Power BI and various data sources (SQL, APIs, Excel, cloud platforms).
• Conduct in-depth data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and actionable business insights.
Collaboration & Leadership
• Partner with business stakeholders to gather requirements, design solutions, and ensure successful implementation of Power BI projects.
• Mentor junior team members, providing guidance and best practices for Power BI development.
• Collaborate with IT teams to ensure data governance, security, and compliance within Power BI.
Innovation & Strategy
• Research and implement new Power BI features and updates to improve efficiency and functionality.
• Propose and execute innovative BI strategies to enhance decision-making processes.
• Drive automation and process improvement initiatives using Power BI and related technologies.
Qualifications
Education
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
Experience
5+ years of experience in Power BI development and data analytics.
Skills
• Advanced proficiency in Power BI, DAX, and Power Query.
• Strong experience with relational databases (SQL Server, Oracle, etc.) and ETL processes.
• Familiarity with Azure Data Factory, Data Lakes, or other cloud-based data platforms.
• Knowledge of programming languages such as Python or R for advanced analytics.
Soft Skills
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex information clearly to non-technical audiences.
• Strong leadership and team management abilities.
• Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
