Senior or Group Account Director

Your Opportunity

As a Senior Account Director or Group Account Director you will play a key senior role at Thrive, Sydney. This is a chance to be a part of consistent growth and innovation with one of Australia's most revered public relations agencies, Thrive, driving earned-first integrated storytelling typically in the B2B, B2B2C and corporate space but ideally crossing into brand communications.

Work with some of the world's biggest brands in tech, travel and tourism, transport, wellness, automotive and more. You will have the opportunity to lead a core Sydney team of category specialists and report to the local Sydney Business Director
Be part of Thrive's local Senior Leadership Team where you will be exposed to the inner workings of the agency, learn how to achieve commercial goals and influence the agency and teams' success


Managing your team & clients

Brand reputation and corporate b2b, b2b2c and b2c comms experience, ideally in industries such as technology, professional services, tourism and transport, hospitality, sport and entertainment or government
Partner with long standing clients who trust and respect Thrive and its people - you'll be developing thought leadership strategies across traditional media and social, running client awards, case study and speaking engagement programs, train leaders for presentations and issues scenarios, deliver real-time crisis communications, produce content for earned, owned and paid media channels for corporate and c-suite needs, devise customer engagement strategies and overall deliver sound strategic counsel to clients
Responsibility for nurturing the growth of your team and your client portfolio, managing workflow and outcomes, and devising strategies that build and protect the reputations of your clients
Drive best-in-class work across strategy, creative and delivery of traditional and integrated communications services
And be a part of some of Australia's biggest corporate pitches

You'll participate in ongoing learning and development opportunities delivered across the agency in addition to tailored internal and external training to help you develop technical, commercial and broader EQ skills.

You'll be led by ambitious, consistent, thought provoking and kind senior leaders.

You'll be provided with unique global and local experiences with clients including domestic and global travel if desired.

Requirements


Your Experience, Approach & Impact :

10-12+ years experience in agency or inhouse

An ability to devise an integrated, strategic PR/social plan with impact

Experienced manager of teams

Proven success in ‘closing' conversations with clear actions and next steps
