Primary Care & Specialty Sales Consultant
YOUR PURPOSE
As a Primary Care & Specialty Sales Consultant, you will be responsible for executing the sales strategies for our Cardiorenal product. Your main goal will be to drive demand and clinical education by strategizing business plans targeting Primary Care Physicians and Nephrologists, particularly in Community settings. You will work closely with the CVR Area General Manager and collaborate with various internal teams, including Marketing, Market Access, and Patient Services, contributing to our US Pharma outcomes.
This opportunity involves coverage primarily in the Seattle South-Seattle North areas and extends to regions in Alaska. Expect up to 50% travel within the territory, and you must be based in this area.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
• Establish and nurture professional relationships with primary care, nephrology, endocrinology, and pharmacy staff among assigned clients.
• Promote the effective use of approved cardiovascular and menopause products while collaborating with the Customer Squad to enhance local market demand.
• Utilize your knowledge of the diabetes and menopause markets, competitors, and industry trends to anticipate business opportunities and address challenges.
• Provide valuable insights to internal colleagues regarding strategic and operational planning for your territory and region.
• Develop and implement tailored business plans for customers, sharing insights with relevant stakeholders.
• Optimize your time to ensure coverage of key physician specialists based on potential opportunities.
• Fully understand the product and business needs of assigned customers to deliver exceptional service while adhering to Bayer's ethical standards.
• Proactively identify barriers to success and suggest feasible solutions.
• Effectively manage customer objections and consistently exceed expectations with the value you deliver. You may also be called upon to share your expertise with others in the region.
• Embrace new technologies to enhance your performance while continuously improving your skills.
• Understand and comply with industry regulations and apply ethical standards in your work.
WHO YOU ARE
Bayer is looking for candidates with the following qualifications:
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor's degree or 10 years of relevant sales experience in lieu of a degree.
• Demonstrated high performance in sales or related fields.
• History of developing strong relationships with customers.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience leading with a focus on ethical behavior and compliance.
• Ability to meet customer credentialing and safety requirements.
• A valid driver's license and clean driving record.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• An advanced degree is advantageous.
• Five years of successful experience in pharmaceutical/biotech/medical sales.
• In-depth knowledge of cardiovascular and/or diabetes and/or menopause conditions.
• Experience with product launches.
• Strong analytical and technical skills.
• Familiarity with virtual sales techniques.
• Established relationships with local HCPs and a solid understanding of the market.
Compensation includes a salary range of $120,974 to $181,462, with the possibility of bonuses or commissions. Additionally, comprehensive benefits such as healthcare, vision, dental, retirement plans, paid time off, and sick leave are offered.
