PRIMARY OBJECTIVE
Responsible for the development of remote power network and solar/diesel/battery storage generation infrastructure projects and programs
incorporating design, thorough options analysis, budget estimation, quality standards all project readiness documentation, ensuring projects and
programs are delivery ready and will meet the safety requirements set by Power and Water.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The “WHAT” to be delivered

Functional
• Planning and development of Indigenous Essential Services programs of work and/or projects across Power and Water’s 10-year cycle of

capital investments.
Development of Power Services Asset Investment Plan annually and obtain buy-in from stakeholders.
Liaise and plan with stakeholders for the development of conceptual and detailed designs.
Develop funding applications, participation plans and respond to the requirements of related stakeholders e.g. for reporting purposes.
Preparation and implementation of project/program management plans including time plans, cost plans, human resource and communication
plans for Water Services ten-year capital program.
Prepare briefs, engage and manage consultants for the investigation, survey, design and documentation of projects or programs.
Provide input and support services into the planning, design, options analysis for the renewal and augmentation of electricity network and
generation infrastructure.
Develop project and program scopes by preparing detailed project briefs and business cases, including options analysis to confirm the
preferred options, assess deliverability, quantify benefits, milestones, and budgets.
Develop investment, specifications and documents, assist in tenders and contracts in accordance with Power and water’s procurement rules,
making recommendations as part of the tender assessment panel.
Provide high level project lifecycle reporting and present business cases to senior executive and the Board.
Liaise with Project Delivery Management (PDM) for handover of delivery ready projects or programs and once delivered coordinate handover
and closure of the projects or programs.
Leadership

Co-ordinate investigations and reporting of incidents as an ICAM Lead Investigator.
Seek to reduce the environmental impact of the organisation through compliance with legislative, regulatory and licence requirements.
