Providing expert legal guidance on the planning and delivery of major transport infrastructure.
Enjoying complex, meaningful work in a team of lawyers supporting either the delivery of North East Link or the procurement and delivery of a portfolio of Roads Program projects.
Embedding yourself in dynamic project environments, working closely with multi-disciplinary teams to support the delivery of Victoria’s most significant road infrastructure.
Providing high quality and pragmatic legal advice across a broad range of legal areas, including project delivery and construction issues, land planning and environment matters, project interfaces and stakeholder arrangements.
Applying your specialist legal skills working with an excellent and supportive Commercial and Legal team on complex and sensitive legal matters and advising on significant project issues in a dynamic environment.
Developing, drafting and reviewing a range of documentation and briefings for a range of internal and external audiences.
Playing an active part in the broader MRPV legal team, effectively utilising specialist skills and sharing knowledge.
Proactively establishing and maintaining trusted relationships within MRPV and broader the Victoria Infrastructure Delivery Authority, and with a range of other relevant stakeholders
About You

You are a seasoned legal professional who brings:

Extensive legal experience in at least one of:
planning and environment law
infrastructure and construction (front or back end) for public or major corporate projects
procurement or delivery of major projects
claims management and disputes
property law for public projects.
Significant post-admission experience in private practice, government, or in-house legal roles
A genuine passion for public infrastructure and delivering outcomes that matter to the community.
A relevant tertiary qualification in law and admitted, or eligible to be admitted, as a legal practitioner to the Supreme Court of Victoria is mandatory.
Multiple roles of 3 year fixed-term and one role of 12 month fixed term available.

Part-time and alternative flexible working arrangements will be genuinely considered.

Allocation of projects / work to align with skill-set of successful applicant.
