The Opportunity
The Principal Operational Data Systems will play an integral role overseeing the design, improvement and delivery of operational systems for the Onslow Iron team.
You will lead the development of key metrics and reporting as part of the integrated planning process, collating data from key stakeholders across the Onslow Iron Project. Additionally, you will maintain governance and technical support for the collection and delivery of key reporting systems relating to supply chain product material movements.
Key responsibilities may include:
Assist in overseeing data validation process performed by Quality and Operational Assurance team, and developing tools for the same.
Working with operational and Digital Technology Services teams, design, develop and assist with implantation of automation and integration of data processes, to reduce the amount of manual handling of information required.
Ensure the material tracking solution is accuracy and efficiently tracking product from pit to ship.
Create standards for data and systems to assist in improving the overall data quality of the Onslow Iron project.
Assist the Technical Services team in improving their ability to plan and schedule down to a daily grain and how they interface with the other operational teams.
Perform bespoke reconciliation and analysis tasks, to assist in deeper investigation of exceptions and overall improvement of the supply chain.
What is required?
Diploma Qualification or higher, specialist qualification or equivalent in science, technology or data management
Extensive experience in working in integrated operational technology environments
Familiar with data platform and reporting systems
Familiar with mine scheduling software and processes
Exposure to bulk commodity supply chains
Experience with Mine Market, Ampla, Grafana and PowerBI would be highly beneficial
Ability to communicate effectively and constructively with senior business leaders and other technical stakeholders.
