Job Title: Principal, Payments Integrations & Development

About Us:

We are a fast-paced, rapidly growing payment gateway company that specializes in providing secure, scalable payment solutions across retail, vending, mobility, and other unattended environments. Our platform connects hardware, software, and services to enable seamless and intelligent commerce.

The Role:

We are looking for an experienced Integrations Manager with a deep understanding and experience in delivering Applications/Platforms Integrations initiatives for the Payments Industry. The individual will be responsible for leading multi‑project initiatives that unify payment systems, operational workflows, and business processes into seamless end‑to‑end solutions. This role requires deep understanding of payment platforms, transaction flows, compliance considerations, and downstream system integrations.
You will serve as the strategic and operational lead—coordinating cross‑functional teams, optimizing integration processes, mitigating risks, and ensuring delivery of high‑quality payment solutions that support our business, our partners, and our merchants.

Key Responsibilities:

Program Leadership & Payments Strategy

Lead multi‑track payment integration programs from discovery to deployment
Define the company’s program strategy, roadmap, and KPIs for payment‑related initiatives
Ensure integrations meet and support both our business goals such as increasing/improving authorization rates, and enhancing customer/merchant experience to process payments, reducing processing costs
Payments Integration & Technical Coordination

Lead proof-of-concept (PoC) integrations and field tests for unattended solutions
Oversee integration of payment gateways, processors, acquirers, settlement systems, and internal platforms
Work closely with engineering, product, finance, and external partners to map transaction flows, define API requirements, and validate end‑to‑end processing
Ensure compatibility with POS systems, e‑commerce platforms, ISO/merchant portals, and third‑party services
Be able to troubleshoot payment workflow issues including auth failures, settlement discrepancies, and reconciliation gaps. Translate technical requirements into clear documentation and integration guides
Compliance, Risk, and Operational Readiness

Ensure all payment integrations meet compliance standards (PCI‑DSS, KYC, AML, network rules, data‑security guidelines)
Identify regulatory or operational risks early and build mitigation strategies
Partner with finance and operations teams to validate settlement accuracy, fees, chargebacks, and reporting integrity
Cross‑Functional Program Coordination

Act as the central communication point between internal teams, merchants, vendors, and processors
Help facilitate sprint planning, technical workshops, and executive updates
Own program timelines, dependencies, budgets, and resources
Drive integration testing, certification processes, data validation, and go‑live activities
Continuously monitor performance post‑launch and coordinate optimization or issue resolution with stakeholders. Assist to integrate payment and peripheral hardware such as card readers, coin acceptors, bill validators, and telemetry devices
Required Skills/Qualifications:

Strong Program and Project Management expertise (PMP/PMI‑ACP or equivalent is an asset)
Demonstrated successful experience delivering large‑scale payment integrations solutions
Excellent communication skills for translating complex payment workflows into actionable plans
Deep payments industry experience (e.g., card processing, POS systems, payment gateways, fintech, acquirers) with a clear understanding of authorization, clearing, settlement, interchange, tokenization, fraud tools, and payment APIs
Experience working with payment devices, payment processors, gateways, or merchant acquirers
Ability to travel for work and be flexible with working hours as customer and or business needs require
Nice to Have:

Understanding of hardware integration and communication protocols
Understanding of regulatory and compliance frameworks (e.g., EMV L1/L2, PCI PTS, SRED)
Understanding of secure communication framework
