About The Opportunity
As a Principal Project Officer in the Digital and Virtual Learning team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the implementation of policies and initiatives related to the department's Equity and Excellence strategy. The role will collaborate with dynamic teams to ensure effective delivery of Digital and Virtual Learning projects particularly in the field of emerging technologies, such as generative artificial intelligence (AI).
About The Role
As the Principal Project Officer, your role will include:
developing, implementing and monitoring project plans for Digital Capability;
coordinating and working closely with the Digital and Virtual Learning team to progress project activities, including correspondence, reports, presentations and publications, and providing project progress status updates to management and senior executives;
leading the coordination, organisation and promotion of professional development activities identified for the program;
lead and collaborate on teaching and learning projects in emerging technologies, such as generative artificial intelligence (AI);
ensuring that the development and production of a range of products services and activities for Digital and Virtual Learning are of high quality and compliant with the required visual and digital style guidelines;
developing briefing materials, submissions, papers, reports, communications and correspondence;
providing secretariat support for project governance groups to ensure effective implementation of project objectives within the established timeframes and allocated budget;
developing and maintaining working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support the development, implementation and delivery of a range of projects and initiatives;
lead, support and coordinate activities to facilitate a cohesive and supportive team environment
identifying and addressing areas of improvement with business processes, identifying issues or risks and making recommendations to the Governance team to ensure procedures are implemented or modified and that business efficiency is maintained.
What You Need To Succeed
The ideal applicant will have the following key attributes:
a strong understanding of project development, monitoring and reporting;
proven ability to manage projects and achieve required outcomes within set timeframes;
well-developed organisation and prioritisation skills;
strong skills in building relationships with internal and external stakeholders;
strong communication skills; and
attention to detail.
Although not a requirement, experience in digital and virtual learning would be advantageous for this role.
