Drive safety, compliance, and operational excellence across QantasLink Engineering & Maintenance.
Lead quality assurance, change, and risk programs that underpin airworthiness and regulatory compliance.
Influence stakeholders and shape continuous improvement initiatives in a dynamic, high-impact role.

At Qantas, we understand our priorities and what needs to be delivered, taking the initiative to keep things moving. Navigating through our complex work environment, we bring teams and individuals together to deliver on our customers’ expectations.

Taking ownership is critical. Whether we’re working individually or as a group, we challenge ourselves to make progress and deliver results. We won’t settle for anything less than the best outcome.

This role combines strategic oversight with hands-on leadership, managing Quality Assurance programs under CASA Part 42 and 145, embedding Safety Management Systems (SMS), and driving audits, change, and risk initiatives where you’ll partner with engineering and maintenance teams to ensure airworthiness and operational integrity while introducing fresh perspectives to continuous improvement.

This is a high-profile role offering visibility across multiple operational areas and the opportunity to influence quality standards in a complex, regulated environment. If you thrive on problem-solving, stakeholder engagement, and making a measurable difference, this is the role for you.

To be successful, you’ll have:

Working knowledge of CASA Part 42 and 145 regulations.
Experience in Safety Management Systems involving quality assurance, risk management, and compliance within aviation or similar regulated industries.
Understanding and knowledge of Quality & Risk management standards and principles.
Ability to analyse and interpret data, with proficiency in tools such as Power BI and Microsoft Office.
Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to influence technical and non-technical teams both verbally and in writing.
Excellent organisational skills to manage multiple priorities under pressure and meet deadlines.
Familiarity with IT systems such as Intelex, TRAX, Workday, Comply365, and Flydocs (desirable).
Ability to comply with workplace safety regulations and practices
Lead Auditor certification and aircraft type knowledge (A220, Q400) would be advantageous.
