As the Principal Technical Product Manager, you will own the technical vision, strategy, and execution roadmap for the ZONTAL platform, steering innovation and driving complex, large-scale solutions for life sciences organizations. You will be a key contributor in defining ZONTAL’s digital transformation strategy, interfacing with cross-functional teams, and translating customer needs into cutting-edge technical solutions.
Responsibilities:
• Define the technical strategy for the ZONTAL platform, focusing on scalability, performance, and innovation in data management and digital preservation.
• Collaborate efficiently with the global engineering, data science, and DevOps teams to ensure high-quality delivery of platform features, aligning with customer and regulatory needs.
• Act as the primary technical liaison between customers, internal stakeholders, and external partners, ensuring product alignment with industry standards, market trends, and emerging technologies.
• Understand technical market research, competitive analysis, and customer interviews to identify opportunities for platform growth and differentiation.
• Own the platform’s technical roadmap, guiding the team in prioritizing features, managing technical debt, and ensuring continuous integration and deployment practices.
• Develop and maintain a detailed product backlog, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver in an Agile environment.
• Lead efforts to optimize platform performance, security, and compliance with industry regulations (FDA, GxP, ISO).
• Drive innovation in platform development, from AI/ML integration to cloud-native architectures, ensuring ZONTAL’s platform is at the forefront of the life sciences digital revolution.
• Mentor and coach junior product managers, providing guidance on best practices in technical product management and platform development.
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Life Sciences, or a related field (Master’s or equivalent experience preferred).
• 8+ years of experience in technical product management or product ownership, with a focus on software platforms in regulated industries, preferably in Life Sciences.
• Proven track record of leading technical product development for large-scale, complex platforms from conception to market release.
• Strong technical expertise in AWS cloud software architecture, with proficiency in Python, Java and JavaScript.
• Familiarity with AI/ML applications, cloud-native technologies, and DevOps practices.
• Experience with regulatory compliance requirements in the Life Sciences sector, including FDA, GxP, and ISO standards.
• Exceptional analytical skills and experience in using data to guide decision-making and product prioritization.
• Proven ability to communicate complex technical concepts effectively to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments, using tools like Jira and Confluence.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with data management platforms and familiarity with digital preservation technologies.
• Advanced certification in technical product management or Agile frameworks (e.g., CSPO, Pragmatic Marketing).
• Familiarity with life sciences data standards and scientific informatics systems.
• Strong leadership skills with a history of mentoring product teams and driving collaboration across departments.
