Job Description
We are looking for a Procurement Advisor to join Auckland Transport, supporting procurement activities across our Enabling Functions (Corporate and Technology) portfolio. In this role, you will support the development and delivery of procurement strategies that enable Auckland Transport to achieve positive outcomes and deliver high-quality assets and services. Your work will directly contribute to the AT Enterprise Business Plan, sustainable procurement objectives, and our commitment to valuing Te Ao Māori.
Working closely with Procurement and wider business stakeholders, you’ll contribute across the end-to-end procurement lifecycle – including strategy development, procurement planning, sourcing activities, and ongoing contract and supplier management. This role offers exposure to a diverse range of indirect spend categories and is well suited to someone looking to grow and deepen their procurement capability within a complex public sector environment.

The ideal candiadate will have:
Prior or current experience in procurement, or exposure to procurement principles and processes
Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with a variety of stakeholders
Well-developed written and verbal communication skills
Experience using Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and SharePoint
Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines
Additional strengths:
Understanding of the local government environment, including statutory and regulatory requirements
Interest in sustainable procurement and public value outcomes
