We have a fantastic opportunity for a Product Analyst to join our team within Information Command.
In this role, you'll join the Service Design & Analysis Team working closely with key stakeholders to support the analysis, documentation and delivery of ICT products and services used across NZDF.
You'll help gather and clarify user needs, contribute to well defined requirements, and support agile delivery activities across the product lifecycle.
This will include:
Facilitating early discussions to understand service requests and requirements
Eliciting, analysing and translating requirements into clear user stories
Supporting scoping assessments to help determine project feasibility
Assisting with cost, time and resource modelling
Contributing to the development and maintenance of service catalogues
Analysis of Product and System data to provide meaningful recommendations for reporting and continuous improvement.
This role is based in either Wellington or Auckland - Devonport. Once you have undergone training and are up to speed, there is the option for flexible working arrangements.

To be successful in this role you will have strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to engage across technical and non-technical domains. You will also have strong analytical capability and a collaborate mindset.
You will bring:
A strong understanding of software development or product lifecycle
Experience working within an agile or iterative delivery environment
Ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders and balance competing priorities
Strong written and verbal communication, tailored to different audiences
Ideally experience supporting backlog refinement, sprint planning or product roadmaps
Analytical skills to support cost, benefit, usage or options analysis
A learning mindset and commitment to continuous improvement
Ideally a Class 1 Full Driver's Licence.

To be eligible for the required level of government security clearance with the NZ Defence Force, you need to meet certain citizenship and residency criteria. Here's what you need to know:
Higher Level Security Clearance
You must be a New Zealand citizen or you must hold New Zealand Permanent Residence or have a current New Zealand Residency Class Visa.
At minimum, you must hold New Zealand Permanent Residence or have a current New Zealand Residency Class Visa, and you must be a citizen of and have lived in Australia, Canada, United Kingdom, United States of America or New Zealand continuously for the last ten (10) years.
You must have a ten (10) year background history that can be verified and assessed appropriately by the NZ Security Intelligence Service (NZSIS) to determine if you are suitable for a security clearance at this level.
