Job Description
Digiaccel Learning is scaling its Product Team. This team is responsible for translating the learner’s voice and expectations to technology features than help deliver a 10X learning experience.
The Product Manager (PM) will own a part of the product and work with the engineering team to plan and execute the roadmap for the product. They will marry their learner understanding to the business’s vision to chart out the product direction and own it with their engineering counterpart. The ideal candidate should have demonstrated skills in problem solving and experience in building software or product in a product company.
The Product Manager (PM) should have a mix of the following skills:
• User empathy – Our users are individuals who invest time and money in our tracks to get a learning and career outcome. They are the ones we serve. The PM is expected to listen to learner feedback, interpret current interaction with our product and put the learner’s interests at the center of everything we do.
• Project Planning – The PM will be driving strategy for an important part of the overall product. The individual is expected to demonstrate planning and rigour to execute product builds through a cross functional design and engineering team.
• Software engineering understanding – A good understanding of software engineering is crucial. The PM should have experience that allows the individual to understand the nuances and limitations of the software engineering life cycle. This should allow them to run the product roadmap by pushing the boundaries of possibilities.
• Data orientation – Often we make the mistake of falling in love with what we build even before the learner does. The PM would be expected to demonstrate strong data orientation to read the learner response and continuously iterate and improve the product.
Responsibilities:
• User research to understand current interaction and engagement with the product and marry them with unmet needs.
• Owning the product roadmap for a part of the product. This includes scoping, prioritising, planning and execution.
• Project management to ensure on time in full delivery of features and enhancements at the end of every sprint. The end goal is to ensure that the user stories are aligned to product outcomes.
• Monitoring and evaluating the data around usage and feedback.
• Cross functional collaboration with engineering, design and business teams.
Skills, Qualifications and Experience:
• BTech/ B.E in computer science and engineering, IT or related field
• 2-4 years experience in product management
• Early career product managers looking for more ownership on a product that will make an impact at scale will find the role very exciting.
• Demonstrated experience of high ownership, collaboration and user empathy.
