The Software Product Manager is responsible for leading the development and lifecycle management of our Platform Instrument Control, Acquisition and Processing Software, which significantly impact SCIEX’s portfolio of scientific instrumentation. You will work cross-functionally to shape product roadmaps, ensure commercial success, and continuously improve our offerings based on market insights and customer feedback. This role offers tremendous growth opportunities, allowing you to work on critical projects that directly influence the success of our customers and products.
This position is part of the Software Product Management Team and will be located in Concord, ON, Canada. The Platform Software Team is responsible for delivering innovative solutions in mass spectrometry software driving forward SCIEX's vision of enabling our customers to respond to critical scientific challenges.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
• Engage with key internal and external customers globally to gather feedback, identify market opportunities, and inform the development of new software products.
• Influence product roadmaps by applying market research and customer insights, ensuring software products remain competitive and aligned with SCIEX's strategic goals.
• Lead the product lifecycle from concept to commercialization, managing cross-functional collaboration, product updates, and launch initiatives.
• Monitor financial performance, product adoption, and success through close collaboration with sales, marketing, and applications support teams.
• Conduct competitive analysis and drive product feature enhancements for cross-product success.
The essential requirements of the job include:
• Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or Life Sciences (advanced degree preferred).
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a science/engineering or marketing/business role, with at least 1 year in product management or marketing.
• Strong knowledge of liquid chromatography and mass spectrometry in the pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical industries.
• Experience working in a global environment with cross-functional teams.
It would be a plus if you also possess:
• Prior experience in the commercialization of scientific software products.
• Familiarity with managing software product lifecycles and driving product development in high-performance, cross-functional settings.

The salary range for this role is 90,000 - 130,000 CAD. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.
This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
We offer comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance and 401(k) to eligible employees.
Note: No amount of pay is considered to be wages or compensation until such amount is earned, vested, and determinable.
