Job Overview
We are seeking production controller / estimator to join our team, who has the ability and experience in the manufacture and fabrication of architectural facades.
The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude and experience in operating press brake machinery, guillotine, fibre laser as well as reading manufacturing drawings.
MR&C manufacture fabrications and flashings for the building industry and are seeking a new role of estimator and production controller at our site in Kidderminster.
We will consider various experience levels.
Working hours
Monday - Thursday 7am - 4pm Monday to Thursday, 7am - 1pm Friday

Metal Roofing & Cladding Ltd, Stourport Road, Kidderminster, DY11 7QL
Responsibilities
Interpret customer drawings and input material into cost calculations
Generate cut lists for manufacture
Issue job information through Bend cam and production software (Training available)
Program and issue laser blanks for manufacture
Plan and progress chase through production
Stock control
Oversee press brake and laser production.
Progress orders into accounting software
Offer concept designs and solutions to customers
Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines.
Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to safety regulations at all times.
Qualifications
Proven experience within a manufacturing setting, knowledge / experience of architectural facades a benefit.
Proven experience operating fabrication machinery / equipment in a manufacturing setting (Press brake, laser cutting, welding etc.)
Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand technical drawings and specifications.
Proficiency in basic mathematics for measurements and calculations related to fabrication processes.
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Requirements
Experience with legacy Amada press brakes, including programming software (Bend CAM), tooling, start up procedures, programming (setting) operation and basic maintenance desirable.
Pro-active person, with a positive attitude towards collaboration with the team and problem solving together.
Forklift license
Right to work in UK
Can travel to Kidderminster
