Job Description:
This role is Monday–Friday with 5:30am -1:30pm. The Production Operator will be responsible for conducting prestart checks on all plant and equipment, picking and assembling associated building accessories, and filling coil bays of raw materials around machines. Additional duties include operating loading PCs and RF scanners, emptying steel scrap bins, and assisting in scrap recovery off machines. The successful candidate will also perform production, inspection, packaging, and machine operation duties, set up machinery, and maintain a safe and clean workspace.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct daily prestart checks on equipment
Pick and assemble building accessories
Fill coil bays of raw materials around machines
Operate loading PCs and RF scanners
Empty steel scrap bins and assist in scrap recovery
Perform production, inspection, packaging, and machine operation duties
Set up machinery and ensure all materials are readily available
Maintain a safe and clean workspace
Requirements:
The ideal candidate will have prior experience in steel manufacturing, possess excellent attention to detail, and demonstrate a high work ethic. They must be reliable, commit to regular hours, and be able to work independently and as part of a team. Additionally, the ability to learn new skills quickly and comply with personal protective equipment requirements is essential.
Salary and Benefits:
The successful candidate will receive a competitive hourly rate of $32.42 per hour, working 38 hours per week.
