About the Job:
Position: Production Supervisor
Location: Te Puke, Tauranga | Bay of Plenty, New Zealand
Work Type: On-site | Shifting schedule
What You’ll Do:
Lead daily production operations to meet output, yield, and schedule targets.
Own shift execution: labour allocation, daily priorities, start-up checks, and structured shift handovers.
Keep the line audit-ready by ensuring accurate batch records, traceability, and production documentation.
Drive fast issue resolution on the floor and coordinate downtime recovery with Maintenance, Quality, and Warehouse.
Build a safe, disciplined, high-performing team through coaching, training follow-through, and clear standards.
Required skills and experience (must-have):
Food manufacturing shift supervision experience is required.
3–5 years in food manufacturing/processing, with at least 1–2 years as a Shift Supervisor / Team Leader / Production Supervisor in a factory environment.
Bachelor’s degree (preferred) or equivalent experience in Engineering (Mechanical/Industrial/Chemical/Food) or Quality/Food Science.
Strong understanding of GMP, hygiene, HACCP/food safety controls, and production documentation.
Confident running a shift: planning, prioritising, coaching, and solving problems under pressure.
Able to manage quality checks, contain non-conforming product, and escalate clearly and quickly.
Comfortable partnering with Maintenance on equipment care, breakdown response, and shutdown readiness.
Advantage (nice-to-have):
Experience in food manufacturing.
Good communication looks like:

Strong shift handover discipline with documented priorities and risks.
