Enstar is publicly traded on the NASDAQ stock market (ticker symbol: ESGR).Location: Midtown, , NYRole Purpose- Prepare financials and reconciliations for programs managed by external third party administrators- Comply with internal control procedures- Support program accounting manager for completion of consolidated reporting within the companys timeframes as outlined on a monthly/quarterly basis- Support financial accounting and reporting objectives by assisting with corporate and statutory reporting in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and statutory accounting principles (SAP).Key Accountabilities Contact general agents and third-party administrators to obtain, verify and reconcile the data for assigned programs Perform ceded calculations and render invoices to brokers and re-insurers based on reinsurance contracts for assigned programs Prepare journal entries, general ledger reconciliations, and other reports as requested. Prepare assigned reports within established deadlines. Assist with preparing statutory financials and associated filings in a timely manner. Assist with cash and collateral reviews and associated reconciliations. Assist with audit requests and ensure compliance with internal controls and SOX guidelines. Special projects as assigned In addition to the above key responsibilities, you may be required to undertake other duties from time to time as the Company may reasonably require.Person SpecificationExperience: Bachelor degree in Accounting/Finance/related experience 1-3 years relevant and progressive accounting experience Insurance industry experience preferred Familiarity with GAAP and SAP reporting and Sarbanes OxleyKnowledge: Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and accounting softwareGeneral Skills / Attributes: Good analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to multi-task, prioritize responsibilities and manage time effectively Attention to detail, a high degree of integrity, work ethic, and professionalismGood verbal and written communication skillsAt Enstar we believe that our employees are our most important asset.
