DRL/GP manages the bureau's foreign assistance funded programs, including the Department's Human Rights and Democracy Fund.
Program Analyst Role
The incumbent serves as a Program Analyst, responsible for regional and/or thematic areas with over $10M funding annually, as well as strategic planning and coordination within GP.
Main Responsibilities
Monitoring grant activities and relevant activities in assigned regions
Ensuring Department foreign policy goals and objectives are being implemented through inter-agency collaboration
Full foreign assistance life-cycle management and implementing foreign assistance programming
Requirements
Federal applicants must have served 52 weeks at the next lower grade to satisfy time-in-grade restrictions. Additionally, they must have 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level in the Federal service, which provided the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the duties of the position.
Qualifying specialized experience must demonstrate:
Experience working across the inter-agency to ensure Department foreign policy goals and objectives are being implemented
Experience in full foreign assistance life-cycle management and/or implementing foreign assistance programming
Experience monitoring grants, cooperative agreements, and/or contracts
