About the Role
Barnardos are looking for a Program Manager for a full-time 12 month contract to join the Kinship Care Program based in Bruce, 2617
The Program Manager will be responsible for;
Ensure the quality of services delivered by team members, with a strong focus on client-centred, effective case planning and management.
Provide support, mentoring and coaching to all members of the team.
Managing program budgets effectively and providing management reports as required ensuring financial accountability of the agency operations is maintained.
Ensuring all team members receive regular required supervision.
Promote a clear understanding of the standards and values guiding Barnardos Australia's operations, encouraging staff ownership while exemplifying these values and standards through your own actions.
Ensure that program standards, objectives, procedures, and practices are properly established and regularly reviewed.
Lead regular team meetings.
About You
As a Program Manager, you will ideally have;
Relevant tertiary degree-level qualifications in the provision of protective support and service delivery to children and young people and their families.
Demonstrated capacity to provide advice on complex case management matters/issues and to coach others who also provide such advice.
Considerable knowledge of social, economic, health and cultural factors affecting client and family situations.
Working knowledge of relevant child protection and related legislation.
Demonstrated experience of and capacity to provide leadership, direction, supervision and support to staff who are providing complex case management for children and young people who are in foster or kin care.
Demonstrated understanding of the special needs of children in disadvantaged families through past experience of working in a Case Manager or similar role.
Experience in managing staff performance, whilst taking into consideration competency, duty of care, organisational values, or policy standard.
Exceptional written communication skills, ability to prepare reports, funding submissions and correspondence to a high standard for a range of audiences.
Demonstrate cultural sensitivity and inclusiveness while supporting diverse communities and fostering respectful relationships.

Salary: Base $108,381 to $126,113 per annum plus leave loading plus superannuation. Packaging available to receive $15,860 of your salary tax free. Motor vehicle packaging available on selected roles.
To be considered for roles with Barnardos you will need to have (or be willing to have conducted) a National Police Clearance and current Working with Children check Clearance (or APP number) and for the ACT a Drivers History Check, Working with Vulnerable People Card and CYPS Check.
