In the moment, for the future:
At Genesis, we’re always looking ahead - to new possibilities, smarter solutions, and a better energy future for Aotearoa New Zealand. Every role here plays a part in shaping what’s next, whether it’s through cutting-edge technology, bold thinking, or everyday excellence. If you’re driven by progress and inspired by purpose, this is your chance to be part of something remarkable. Step into a career where your actions today help power tomorrow.
What you’ll do:
This is a great opportunity to play a key coordination role at the heart of our Generation Development portfolio. Reporting to the Head of Generation Development, you’ll provide critical project administration and coordination support across a diverse range of development initiatives, including solar, wind and other generation development opportunities that support Genesis’ long-term strategy.
In this role, you’ll help keep complex programmes of work moving by coordinating internal and external resources, tracking deliverables, and ensuring projects are delivered to scope, on time, and within budget. You’ll be trusted to manage competing priorities, support robust project assurance, and maintain a no surprises approach by proactively identifying and escalating risks, issues, or constraints.
You’ll also support the Generation Development team by helping to develop and implement effective systems and processes that underpin project delivery. From monthly invoicing and payment coordination through to reporting, filing, and stakeholder engagement, you’ll be a reliable go to person who brings structure and clarity to the team.
What you’ll need:
You’re an organised, proactive coordinator who thrives in a fast-moving project environment. You’re comfortable juggling multiple workstreams, building strong relationships, and adapting quickly as priorities evolve, all while keeping a clear eye on the detail.
A tertiary qualification in a relevant field
5 years project management, coordination or administration experience
Knowledge of construction, power generation technology, and/or the New Zealand electricity industry
Proven ability to coordinate multiple workstreams and resources across projects
Excellent communication, relationship management, and stakeholder engagement skills
Demonstrable ability to be flexible and respond to changing requirements, multiple stakeholders, conflicting constraints and competing priorities.
How we’ll help you thrive:
At Genesis, we know that every moment matters - it’s not just about the mahi today, it’s also all the other benefits that set you up for a thriving future.
Some of our benefits include:
Southern Cross medical insurance, plus life, trauma and income protection insurances
Electricity and gas discounts and an extra 20 Power Shout hours per year
Up to 4% match on KiwiSaver contributions or 3% with our GenSaver allowance
Flexible working and leave options to support you to balance personal and professional needs
Annual wellbeing allowance, access to Best Doctors online service for you and your family and other wellbeing offerings
Career development opportunities and a supportive learning culture.
